Half Way Point Reflections
This is from the painting with light/ alternative lighting project. I adore the simplicity of the colors and the depth of field.
This was by far my favorite photo assignment this year, I love working with different light sources to highlight the subject. I'm not sure I have a least favorite assignment. My hopes for the rest of the year include working on studio lighting as well as taking lights to interesting places. I want to work with costumes and makeup.

New Years
2011
I like the brightness of this photo, the curves of the letters along with the curves of the background rides and streetlights make the entire photo flow. This shot very literally tells that it is new years eve, with a woman writing the new year's number in light from a sparkler. These lines lead the eye around the rest of the photo where the longer exposure as allowed the lights to blur and create interesting patterns.
Photos of Twenty Ten
"A meteor streaks past stars in the night sky over Stonehenge in Salisbury Plain, southern England August 12, 2010. The Perseid meteor shower is sparked every August when the Earth passes through a stream of space debris left by comets. Picture taken using a long exposure."
This surreal image, achieved by long exposure during a meteor shower, is my favorite due mainly to the colors. the long exposure creates white streaks in the background, which add to the strange feel.
you can tell that something is moving across the sky. The gradation of color brings the eye to the bottom of the photo where the main focus is brought to attention.
